Argentina: fifth country with the most coronavirus cases in the world

It added up to 14,932 infections and 350 deaths in the last 24 hours. Only the US, India, Brazil and Russia surpass it.

The Ministry of Health of the Nation informed today that during the last 24 hours 350 deaths and 14,932 new cases of coronavirus were reported.

Thus, the total number of cases in the entire country amounts to over 931 thousand, with 24,921 fatalities. According to the ranking carried out by Johns Hopkins University, Argentina surpassed Colombia, which this Wednesday registered 6,061 infections and added 930,159 cases. Ahead of Argentina are the United States, India, Brazil and Russia.

Of the cases confirmed on Wednesday, 5175 are from the province of Buenos Aires, 825 from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, 2470 from Santa Fe, 1606 from Córdoba, 1241 from Tucumán, 925 from Mendoza, 8 from Catamarca, 192 from Chaco, 236 from Chubut, 54 from Corrientes, 299 from Entre Ríos, 1 from Formosa, 103 from Jujuy, 101 from La Pampa, 87 from La Rioja, 3 from Misiones, 296 from Neuquén, 361 from Río Negro, 150 from Salta, 5 from San Juan, 151 from San Luis, 195 from Santa Cruz, 153 from Santiago del Estero, and 295 from Tierra del Fuego.

In the last 24 hours, 23,519 tests were carried out and since the beginning of the outbreak, 2,283,577 diagnostic tests were performed for this virus, which is equivalent to 50,324.5 samples per million inhabitants.
